Philadelphia based independent singer/songwriter, with a lot to say from the heart and very little to prove in her mind. Here's an artist to watch... She's fierce, passionate, energized, and captures your attention from the very first chord she plays. Arlene is all that, plus a friendly smile and a quick joke. Her lyrics wear her heart out on her sleeve, and she's not afraid to push hard on things she feels.

Arlene soothes her listeners with her sweet voice and resonating guitar. Yet, she screams the pain of love lost, the intensity of friends, and the magnitude of life around her, always taunting the listener with the lyrical scraping of her insides. She writes for justice of the heart. She moves with emotion and clings to her guitar.

Since the debut release of asidefromyou in 2003 on her self made record label, Purple Peach Records, she’s also released her sophomore album, Soaked In Rain in 2006. Her songwriting is evolving, and she’ll be heading back into the studio very soon with new material.

She's known to play the college circuit and frequent some smaller local venues. Arlene thrives in an intimate audience setting where she can create her own little atmosphere involving only herself, her listener and her guitar. She connects the audience through her quirky stage presence and witty commentary.
